November 15th 2011 will mark a significant date in the Hip-Hop calendar, with U.K Hip-Hop revolutionary Jaja Soze set to release his brand new E.P “Mainstream Music” independently through PDC Entertainments. The four track E.P will contain all brand new music, and feature “Linx Kanek” on a move that is set enforce Jaja Soze as a recognised major force within the U.K urban music scene.
Jaja has had a remarkable 2011 so far, after releasing his latest project “I’m Not a Rapper I’m a Revolutionary” which received tens of thousands of downloads, he was featured in “The Source” and was a major figurehead in the community speaking about the London Riots and other public issues. The massive single “Bullet” (which also featured Linx Kanek” made a significant impact in the download charts, and Jaja Soze continues to attend youth and school workshops speaking about positive decisions and empowerment.
Furthermore Jaja continues to manage his extending-roster of PDC Entertainments artists, including DVS who recently sat down with MTV for a feature, AND has recently worked with UK Overstood for a short film titled “A Lesson Learnt”. The new short film entitled A lesson learnt written by Tara-jayne-manufor and based on a idea by jaja soze, directed by jaja and Barry from cream cartel, filmed by UK Overstood.
The film features appearances from S,D GORILLA, DRU BLU, KREPT, ADZ AND SHALLOW, DUBZ, PANE AND YARDZ, BIRDIE ROTH PLUS MORE. This film tells the story of a lil boy who wants to make money via the streets but gets caught up in different situations that will change his mind state by the end of the day. Tim Pritchard, the documentary maker behind Sky TV series “Ross Kemp On Gangs” wrote the powerful book Street Boys and spent three years following Jaja and six other members before writing.
“Writing it has given me more hope in humanity. These were the toughest gang criminals in London yet I was happy hanging out with them for three years. They have a lot of energy.” Mr Pritchard said and concluded. “If it is harnessed they could be upstanding citizens.”
